WHY FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES ARE FAILING

1 Peter 4:10
God has a requirement of His people. That is that they be faithful.
1 Cor 4:1‑2
1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards
of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
1 Pet 4:10
10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the
same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
We will be held accountable as to our faithfulness.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak,
they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a
certain king, which would take account of his servants.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Every believer must be faithful to God.
Lets look at several areas in which a believer must be faithful to God.
I. BIBLE STUDY
A. God’s Saints love God’s Word
47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
B. God’s Word Strengthen our faith
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the
Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life
through his name.
4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,
that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
1 Cor 10:11
11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples:
and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
C. God’s Word Cleanses our Life
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which
I have spoken unto you.
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with
the washing of water by the word,
1 Pet 1:22
22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying
the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren,
see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
D. God Commands us to read His Word
16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these
shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded,
and his spirit it hath gathered them.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have
eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
You say I can’t understand it all. Do you ever eat fish?
You don’t give up the fish for the bones.
Someone once said only a fool will choke on the bones.
You lay the bones aside and eat the fish.
II. FAITHFUL TO PRAY
7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my
house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted
upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always
to pray, and not to faint;
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
1Thes 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
He promises to answer:
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you,
ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Reasons God does not answer prayer:
45 And ye returned and wept before the LORD;
but the LORD would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.
2. Secret sin:
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and
the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto
you, I will make known my words unto you.
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched
out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none
of my reproof:
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh
as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek
me early, but they shall not find me:
13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also
shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
5. Despising the Law:
9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination.
6. Bloodguiltiness: (lack of witnessing)
18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die;
and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the
wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same
wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I
require at thine hand.
19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from
his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die
in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his
righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock
before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning,
he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done
shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous
sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned;
also thou hast delivered thy soul.
15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes
from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear:
your hands are full of blood.
2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God,
and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, l
est they should hear the law, and the words which the
LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets:
therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and
they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear,
saith the LORD of hosts:
9. Doubting or instability:
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he
that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss,
that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
III. FAITHFULNESS TO SEPARATION
2 Cor 6:14‑18
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?
and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part
hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?
for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will
dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they
shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no
unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean,
that bear the vessels of the LORD.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own:
but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you
out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works
of darkness, but rather reprove them.
II Th 3:6
6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every
brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition
which he received of us.
A. Womens dress
1 Tim 2:9‑10
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves
in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety;
not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness)
with good works.
1 Pet 3:1‑4
1 Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own
husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may
without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
2 While they behold your chaste conversation coupled
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of
plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which
is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet
spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband:
but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman
that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto
a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for
all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
B. Men’s Hair
1 Cor 11:14
14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that,
if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
C. Movies and TV - Filthy language
The eye is the light of the body.
34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single,
thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body
also is full of darkness.
Paul said he had to keep under his body to bring it into subjection.
1 Cor 9:27
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:
lest that by any means, when I have preached to others,
I myself should be a castaway.
The Bible says we’re to come out from among this worldly crowd.
What kind of music are we listening to the Bible tells us what we’re to sing.
We should have a song in our hearts but what kind of song are you humming as you work or play?
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and
hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord.
This old so called rap music is supposed to teach a lesson.
And it does teach those who listen a lesson, but what is the lesson it teaches.
5 It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.
14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
We’re supposed to abstain from the appearance of evil.
1Thes 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
IV. FAITHFULNESS TO CHURCH ATTENDANCE
A. The Church is precious, Christ gave His life for it
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
B. It is the body of Christ
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
C. We are commanded to love one another, and we are the church.
1 Pet 2:1
