SATAN WANTS TO MAKE A DEAL WITH YOU

 ISAIAH 36:16

 

  The Devil's crowd outnumbers the Christian

  crowd.

 

  They will try every means available to

  intimidate.

 

  From today's message we can see God's

  willingness to help us when the Devil hurls

  his forces at us in an attempt to destroy

  our life and testimony for God.

 

  There are several truths that will help us

  over come Satan.

 

 I. SATAN'S TRICK vs.2,11,12,13

 

     A.He will attack where he is most likely

     to defeat you.

 

     1.Rezin had a great army ‑ The Devil

       will make a greatly show to intimidate.

 

     2. He will strike in a weak place if he

        can.

        Isa 7:3 Then said the LORD unto

                Isaiah, Go forth now to meet

                Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub

                thy son, at the end of the

                conduit of the upper pool in

                the highway of the fuller's

                field;

 

     A place of earlier problems.

 

     B. His attack is directed against God.

          vs 3‑5

 

          1.message to your king vs 4‑5

            Christ

 

          2. message from his leader ‑ Satan

 

          3. who are you trusting this

             morning

 

          4. Hezekiah taken all your gods

            away vs 7

            what are you trusting for

            success.

 

               a. personality

               b.good luck

               c.friends to help

               d.your intelligence

               e.money from a good paying job

               f.government

               g.good health

 

          None of these can deliver from the

          wiles of the Devil.

 

     C. His Attack Is Thrust At Your Carnality

 

          1.you can't overcome one of the

           least temptations Satan can

           present vs 9,10

 

          2.your lord is not able to deliver

           you vs 14

 

  2 Pet 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver

            the godly out of temptations, and

            to reserve the unjust unto the

            day of judgment to be punished

 

  Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear

           of death were all their lifetime

           subject to bondage.

 

  2 Tim 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me

             from every evil work, and will

             preserve me unto his heavenly

             kingdom: to whom be glory for

             ever and ever. Amen.

 

  Gal 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that

          he might deliver us from this

          present evil world, according to

          the will of God and our Father:

         

 

     3. Come Give Me Your Pledge vs 8,16

 

     4. Life will be better if you surrender

     to me. vs 17

 

 

  II. THE SERVANT'S TRUST

 

     A. Not the world vs 6

     B. They trusted their king vs 15,18,19,22

 

 

          1. They made commitments 37:1‑4

          2. They were trusting the living

             God 37:19; 36:19

 

     C. Trust the Word of God

        vs 20 according to the kings command

        37:7 God's promise to deliver

 

     D. Trusting in the House of God

          Ps 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy

                  shall follow me all the

                  days of my life: and I will

                  dwell in the house of the

                  LORD for ever.

 

          Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the

                    assembling of ourselves

                    together, as the manner

                    of some is; but exhorting

                    one another: and so much

                    the more, as ye see the

                    day approaching.

 

          Rom 10:14 How then shall they call

                    on him in whom they have

                    not believed? and how

                    shall they believe in him

                    of whom they have not

                    heard? and how shall they

                    hear without a preacher?

                   

 

          Acts 8:31 And he said, How can I,

                    except some man should

                    guide me? And he desired

 

                  Philip that he would come

                    up and sit with him.

 

     E. Trust God's Grace vs 37:20

 

  Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto

              death, even so might grace

              reign through righteousness

              unto eternal life by Jesus

              Christ our Lord.

 

  2 Cor 8:7 Therefore, as ye abound in every

            thing, in faith, and utterance,

            and knowledge, and in all

            diligence, and in your love to

            us, see that ye abound in this

            grace also.

 

  2 Cor 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is

             sufficient for thee: for my

             strength is made perfect in

             weakness. Most gladly therefore

             will I rather glory in my

             infirmities, that the power of

             Christ may rest upon me.

 

  III. SAVIOUR'S TRIUMPH

 

     A.Satan is not everywhere at once 37:9

     B.Submission to God causes temptation to

     flee vs 37:8

     James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to

               God. Resist the devil, and he

               will flee from you.

 

     C.Miracles take place at God's Hand

       vs  37:36

 

     D. Satan is confined to his place by God

        vs 37:37

 

  Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn

             them from darkness to light, and

             from the power of Satan unto

             God, that they may receive

             forgiveness of sins, and

             inheritance among them which are

             sanctified by faith that is in

             me.

 

  Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall

               bruise Satan under your feet

               shortly. The grace of our Lord

               Jesus Christ be with you.

               Amen.

 

     E. Satan will taste death the same as

     those who reject Christ.

 

  Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out,

 

           that old serpent, called the

           Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth

           the whole world: he was cast out

           into the earth, and his angels

           were cast out with him.

 

  Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon,

           that old serpent, which is the

           Devil, and Satan, and bound him a

           thousand years,

 

  Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them

            was cast into the lake of fire

            and brimstone, where the beast

            and the false prophet are, and

            shall be tormented day and night

            for ever and ever.
