GOD SHALL SUPPLY ALL YOUR NEED

We are assured that God will supply all our needs.

Phil 4:19 But my God shall supply all your

need according to his riches in

          glory by Christ Jesus.

Matt 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of

God, and his righteousness; and all

these things shall be added unto

          you.

What are my needs?

We generally have needs in three areas:

Spiritual

Physical

Financial

I. SPIRITUAL

     A. To know right from wrong

The ability to decide in given

situations what is right and what

          is wrong.

This is the difference between the

animal world and the world of man.

Man can be taught a set of rules.

Man has the ability of understanding.

Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man: and

         the inspiration of the Almighty

         giveth them understanding.

Prov 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of

the LORD, searching all the inward

           parts of the belly.

Eccles 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man

that goeth upward, and the spirit

of the beast that goeth downward

            to the earth?

     B. To know God

Not to know of God

Not to know about God

But to know God.

Hosea 6:6 For I desired mercy, and not

sacrifice; and the knowledge of God

          more than burnt offerings.

Phil 3:8‑10  8 Yea doubtless, and I count all

            things but loss for the

            excellency of the knowledge of

Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I

have suffered the loss of all

things, and do count them but

dung, that I may win Christ,

9 And be found in him, not

            having mine own righteousness,

which is of the law, but that

which is through the faith of

            Christ, the righteousness which

            is of God by faith:

10 That I may know him, and the

            power of his resurrection, and

            the fellowship of his sufferings,

            being made conformable unto his

            death;

to talk to Him and allow Him to talk back

How much time do we spend talking to God?

through His word and the Holy Spirit.

     C. To Know God's Plan For life

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work

together for good to them that love

God, to them who are the called

         according to his purpose.

Rom 12:1‑2   1 I beseech you therefore,

brethren, by the mercies of God,

that ye present your bodies a

            living sacrifice, holy,

            acceptable unto God, which is

            your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this

world: but be ye transformed by

the renewing of your mind, that

ye may prove what is that good,

            and acceptable, and perfect, will

            of God.

     D. Freedom to act upon what I know

Before salvation a person is held in bondage

by Satan.

Rom 8:20‑22 20 For the creature was made

            subject to vanity, not willingly,

but by reason of him who hath

            subjected the same in hope,

            21 Because the creature itself

also shall be delivered from the

            bondage of corruption into the

            glorious liberty of the children

            of God.

22 For we know that the whole

            creation groaneth and travaileth

            in pain together until now.

II. PHYSICAL

     A. Emotional Stability

Eph 4:22‑24 22 That ye put off concerning the

            former conversation the old man,

which is corrupt according to the

            deceitful lusts;

23 And be renewed in the spirit

            of your mind;

24 And that ye put on the new

man, which after God is created

            in righteousness and true

            holiness.

Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which

is renewed in knowledge after the

image of him that created him:

1 Thes 3:13 To the end he may stablish your

            hearts unblameable in holiness

before God, even our Father, at

the coming of our Lord Jesus

            Christ with all his saints.

     B. Motivation

2 Cor 5:14‑15 14 For the love of Christ

              constraineth us; because we

thus judge, that if one died

for all, then were all dead:

15 And that he died for all,

that they which live should not

              henceforth live unto

              themselves, but unto him which

died for them, and rose again.

     C. Strength to accomplish God's Purpose

Ps 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress,

and my deliverer; my God, my

strength, in whom I will trust; my

buckler, and the horn of my

        salvation, and my high tower.

III. FINANCIAL

     A. Food

2 Cor 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to

the sower both minister bread for

your food, and multiply your seed

sown, and increase the fruits of

           your righteousness;)

     B. Clothing

Matt 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the

grass of the field, which to day

is, and to morrow is cast into the

oven, shall he not much more clothe

you, O ye of little faith?

     C. Shelter

Ps 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place

of the most High shall abide under

        the shadow of the Almighty.
